Sadot
Irrigation Systems has recently completed
a vast potato production project in Israel.
The 620 ha project
was executed from May 2002 till February 2003
in conjunction with Netafim - Israel, and
covered several big fields of potato & watermelon
(in rotation) productions.
The project was carried out under a very strict
& pushy time table, in order to finish
each plot before planting is started.
Irrigation is executed utilizing Nelson 'Wind
Fighter' sprinklers.
Sadot Irrigation Systems had provided the
irrigation control design & layout, followed
by supplying all components, installation,
integration, and total assimilation.
For an indication only, here is a partial
list of the control equipment installed in
this project:
10 Talgil Sapir 12++ controllers.
180 remote modular edge units.
750 Bermad RAM hydraulic control valves with
PCX pressure regulator & Galit command
convertor.
1,000 Bermad solenoid pilot valves.
10 wells reservoirs & booster pumps.
About 20 Km 4*1.5 cable.
A large number main & sub main valves.
A large number of water meters & fertilizer
meters.
A large number of Amiad fertilizer injectors.
Some system expansions are planned for the
coming season.
